Hoof and Paw provides full-service horse, farm and companion animal care primarily in Central Sonoma  County.  We are fully committed to the health, safety and happiness of all animals under our care as well as confident and content clients.  We take our clients' peace of mind seriously, thus we are fully insured, bonded and maintain a professional membership with Pet Sitters Associates.

We provide and encourage in-home care for animals because we believe this level of care provides the comfort, familiarity and sense of well-being that only normal daily routines and the home environment can provide.

In 2002, unbeknownst to me, I started on a path.  A path that led to the creation of Hoof and Paw in 2007.  As a lover of animals, I was often asked to take care of pets belonging to friends and colleagues when they went away for vacations and business trips.  Eventually, I ventured into the world of professional pet sitting while living and raising my son in both Marin and Sonoma counties.  For about five years I worked for a reputable pet sitting company, first as a dog walker and pet visitor and then also as a client service manager. 

Hoof and Paw is a natural outgrowth of my love and experience with farms and horses (not to mention cats & dogs!).  I am a life-long horse lover, grew up amongst farm animals and my parents bred and raised German Shorthaired Pointers and beef cattle.  Extended family exposed me not only to a wide-range of barnyard animals and all the hard work that goes along with them, but also helped me develop a personal value system that is inherent in small farming . . . community, locally produced food, connection to the earth and sustainability.  My childhood was filled with pastures and forest, the fog filled mornings of AKC field trials, riding horses, vegetable gardens, peach orchards, fresh catfish pulled from the river and the deep earthiness of large animals.  Hoof and Paw is a reflection of my deep reverence for all of this.
